Industrial Electrician

Join our team as an Industrial Electrician, where you’ll install, maintain and commission electrical systems across New Zealand’s primary industries. From new project installations through to plant upgrades and maintenance, you’ll deliver high-quality electrical work that keeps our clients’ operations running safely and efficiently.

You’ll work alongside engineers, automation specialists, project managers and fellow electricians to deliver projects across food and beverage manufacturing, water and wastewater, industrial processing, manufacturing and energy sectors.


Key Responsibilities

  • Install, test and commission industrial electrical systems, equipment and infrastructure
  • Carry out preventative maintenance, fault finding and electrical upgrades across a range of industrial facilities
  • Read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics and installation documentation
  • Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality industrial electrical projects and maintenance services
  • Maintain high standards of safety, quality and workmanship while supporting continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • A New Zealand Registered Electrician qualification with a current practising licence
  • Experience in industrial electrical installation, project delivery & maintenance
  • Strong fault-finding skills and the ability to interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Excellent communication skills with a commitment to safety, quality and customer service
  • Experience in instrumentation, hazardous areas, inspection or machine safety would be an advantage

Type: Full-time, Permanent

Location: Based in Timaru with travel to client sites across the South Island.
