Join our team as an Automation & Control Systems Engineer, where you’ll work on cutting-edge industrial automation projects across New Zealand’s primary industries. From initial design to commissioning, you’ll help deliver robust SCADA, PLC, and MES systems that drive efficiency and safety for our clients.
You’ll be collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of engineers, software developers, and project managers to implement tailored automation solutions in sectors such as food processing, water infrastructure, manufacturing, and energy.

Key Responsibilities:
- Design, configure and commission PLC, SCADA and industrial automation systems
- Develop, test and optimise control logic, HMI applications and supporting software
- Work with clients to define project requirements, scope and automation strategies
- Support factory acceptance testing, site commissioning and ongoing technical support
- Prepare technical documentation, provide client training and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

What We’re Looking For:
- A degree or diploma in Electrical, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering, or equivalent industry experience
- Experience delivering industrial automation and control system projects
- Strong knowledge of industrial automation platforms, including PLC, SCADA and HMI systems such as Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Schneider Electric, AVEVA and Ignition
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret P&IDs, electrical schematics and control philosophies
- Excellent communication skills with a collaborative, client-focused approach and willingness to travel regionally for client engagements
