Project: Undertake
turnkey PLC and HMI programming for the rebuilding of a foodstuffs
vacuum packaging machine. |
Complete rebuild of this packing machine was an
in-house project. This work included:
- Installation
of a Telemecanique PLC and a Magelis operator panel.
- Design
and installation of new electrical control, pneumatic and vacuum
systems.
- Implementation
of a Category Four safety system for operator protection.

| The rebuild of this machine has allowed Milligans
to gain machine reliability and consistency with varied produce
throughput. The new control panel allows the operator easy
access and positive control of the machine's function. |
| The key to the success of this project was ICSC
working through the machine's design functions to gain an understanding
of it's operation so we could deliver a workable solution for the
client. This meant maintaining a close relationship with the
client to assist with any production issues. |
